Today the United States Labor Department announced that they miscalculated our nation’s job growth over the past year by nearly 820,000 jobs. That’s nearly a 30% correction from the reality of today’s job market.
“Michigan Democrats have been gaslighting Michigan families about the reality of today’s economy. They are using inflated job numbers to try to confuse and distract us from the worst inflation we have faced in decades,” said Zach Rudat, Advocacy Director for Michigan Freedom Fund. “No matter what kind of rosy picture the Democrats try to paint, costs are up 21% since Biden and Harris took office. Michigan taxpayers deserve better than gaslighting. They deserve better than failed Bidenomics. And they deserve better than elected officials in Lansing who are out of touch with reality.”
To make matters worse in Michigan, Democrats in Lansing have enacted policies that will drive job providers out of Michigan, increase the cost to keep their lights on, and jeopardize auto-manufacturing jobs with electric vehicle subsidies.
“We won’t attract and retain jobs in Michigan by picking winners and losers with taxpayer dollars,” Rudat continued. “We make Michigan a job destination by following the lead of Republicans in Lansing who want to cut taxes, cut red tape, and make it easier to do business in Michigan.”
