Lansing, MI – House Democrats, who are desperately trying to hold onto power in Lansing, are facing calls to return campaign contributions after Michigan Rising Action discovered nearly $200k illegally poured into Democrat coffers.
MRA alleges that Climate Cabinet PAC illegally contributed funds tainted with corporate dollars towards multiple Democrat candidates for State House, including but not limited to:

“Apparently for House Democrats in Lansing, desperate times call for desperate measures,” said Zach Rudat, Advocacy Director for Michigan Freedom Fund. “The same Democrats who failed to deliver on meaningful transparency reforms are cashing in on corruption, twisting and bending the law in their own political interest. Out of respect for the law and Michigan taxpayers, these illegal funds should be returned immediately.”
The formal complaint also alleges that Climate Cabinet PAC failed to meet requirements for independent committee status, meaning multiple House Democrats received funds exceeding the contribution limit.
