Lansing, MI – With Election Day fast approaching, Democrats’ slim grip on power in Lansing is on the line. House Democrats are desperately trying to plead their case across Michigan, but they have a terrible track record, including (but certainly not limited to):
- A backward “economic” agenda that drives job providers out of Michigan, raises costs, and takes more hard-earned dollars out of workers’ pockets.
- A failed education agenda that makes classrooms less safe, less transparent, less accountable, and less successful.
- An income tax hike in the face of skyrocketing prices, paired with the largest budgets in state history and billions wasted on Democrat pork projects.
- Billion-dollar handouts to big corporations, subsidizing electric vehicles and corporations tied to the Chinese Communist Party.
- A Green New Deal that will make energy less reliable and more expensive, and strip local communities of local control.
“Democrats have quickly reminded us why Michiganders haven’t given them full control of state government in nearly 40 years,” said Zach Rudat, Advocacy Director of Michigan Freedom Fund. “From day one Democrats have used our tax dollars and their unilateral power in Lansing to pick winners and losers. On every front, they have taken lockstep marching orders from their donors and partisan handlers, while Michigan taxpayers are left to foot the bill.”
But Democrats haven’t crossed every item off their damning agenda. More “reforms” could be coming on their watch, including:
- Imminent catastrophe for one of the largest industries in the state.
- Early release for convicted murderers, rapists, and sex offenders.
- Driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants.
- A mandated homeschool registry.
- Membership to the National Popular Vote Compact.
