Gov. Whitmer, Senate Dems Continue to Fail Michigan Workers

Lansing, MI – Today, Senate Democrats failed Michigan workers and small businesses.

Senate Session ended in Lansing today with zero action from Democrats on the floor, while Michigan workers and job providers brace for impact on the looming threat to their bottom dollar come February 21st.

“The clock is ticking. For over half a year, Michigan workers and job providers have called for immediate action from Lansing. House Republicans listened and promptly delivered a bipartisan plan that will save Michigan jobs and livelihoods. But after all this time Governor Whitmer and Senate Democrats simply refuse to do the same,” said Zach Rudat, Advocacy Director for Michigan Freedom Fund. “Inaction is not an option. Hundreds of thousands of Michiganders are watching Lansing at this moment; Michiganders whose names are on the front and the back of paychecks. They should not have to wait any longer.”

House Republicans passed a bipartisan plan that will save Michigan jobs and livelihoods. The bills are sitting in the State Senate, awaiting further action.
