Following Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s move today to release private, internal administration email correspondence between herself and Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey surrounding negotiations and decision making discussions related to the state’s handling of COVID-19, Michigan Freedom Fund Executive Director Tony Daunt asked her to next and immediately release all emails surrounding her administration’s decision to award a big-dollar contact tracing contract to partisan Democratic data, list building and community organizing firms.
Said Daunt: “The Governor is releasing internal emails surrounding her handling of COVID-19? Great. She can do the emails unpacking her decision to hand Michiganians’ private, confidential health data to a partisan Democratic community organizing firm next.”
