Michigan students are struggling with learning loss, but Dana Nessel thinks drag queens are the solution and called for: “A drag queen in every school.”
And Governor Whitmer’s record-breaking vetoes have denied relief to Michigan families when they need it most.

Michigan’s top Democrats have routinely weaponized state government to attack, fine, and prosecute their opponents while giving a pass to one another for far more serious offenses.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer ignored state law and the state constitution to seize near-total control of residents’ lives. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson barely punished unethical fundraising schemes by the governor — while targeting Republicans accused of lesser offenses. Attorney General Dana Nessel repeatedly engaged in political prosecutions targeting Republicans while ignoring wrongdoing by her own political allies.
That’s not just hypocrisy. It’s an abuse of power, and it has to stop.
A DRAG QUEEN IN EVERY SCHOOL?
Nessel’s abuses don’t stop there.
While students are struggling with record learning loss as the result of Governor Whitmer’s school closures, and parents are upset over the sexualization of school curriculum, the Attorney General decided now was the perfect time to say she’d install a “drag queen in every school.”
Nessel claims it’s a joke but we don’t buy it.
Schools should be a safe place where students can learn – not a place for them to be subjected to Dana Nessel’s extreme ideas.
GAS, GROCERIES, AND GRETCHEN WHITMER’S VETOES
Gas prices are still climbing. Groceries are unaffordable – when you can find them. Michigan has the 8th highest unemployment rate in the nation – tied with California.
And Governor Whitmer vetoed yet another attempt to provide Michigan families with relief – her third veto of tax-cut legislation in just four months.
Michigan families are struggling. Inflation is costing the average household more than $500 a month in the Whitmer-Biden economy. These are real problems, and the radical Left doesn’t have any solutions – they’re actually making things worse.
No wonder the Michigan Democrats would rather talk about drag queens. Enough is enough – it’s time for Governor Whitmer to stop the political vetoes and provide taxpayers with real relief!

The Monroe News: Army veteran William Bruck enters Michigan House race
William Bruck, an Army veteran who has served four terms overseas and owns a Monroe company that provides in-home care for the elderly, has announced he is pursuing a seat in the Michigan House of Representatives.
“I’m not a politician, but people who know me know where I stand,” Bruck said. “Rather than entering politics, I would consider that I am entering service.”
Bridge Michigan: Michigan House passes bill to pay student teachers for classroom work
The House on Wednesday passed a bill that would provide student teachers a stipend of $90 per day. Experienced teachers who serve as their mentors would receive $1,000, under the bill introduced by Pamela Hornberger, the Chesterfield Township Republican who heads the House Education Committee.
Student teaching is required for teacher certification in Michigan, but in most districts it is unpaid. That makes it challenging for the state to attract new people to the teaching field at a time when it’s trying to mitigate a growing teacher shortage.
The Daily Reporter: Shirkey and Fink speak about plans for State of Michigan state revenue surplus
The Michigan revenue estimating conference projects an additional $5 billion of revenues for the state next fiscal year. That will take incomes to around $80 billion. Fink pointed out the increase is because of inflation as costs increase.
“So as prices go up, the amount of tax goes up,” he said. “We talked about having extra money, which means that this money is above the priorities that the people have communicated to the state. If the Governor thinks her idea is just one time send out $500 per family, I say let’s do one much better than that. Let’s drop the income tax rate.”
