Governor Whitmer Outlines Democrat Legislative Agenda Which Would Cut Special Deals for the Few, Leaving Michigan Taxpayers, Parents, and Students High and Dry
LANSING, MI – Tonight, Governor Whitmer outlined the legislative agenda House and Senate Democrats intend to impose on the people of Michigan, which would cut special deals for the few, at the expense of the many.
Michigan Freedom Fund Executive Director Sarah Anderson provided the following response to Whitmer’s address:
“Vulnerable Democrats in the House and Senate have joined Gretchen Whitmer and the radical progressive wing of their party to launch an agenda that would undermine parents, harm seniors, and devastate Michigan’s economy,” said Anderson. “Michigan’s kids can’t read, our businesses are facing labor shortages and tax increases, and families are still facing staggering inflation. Instead of fixing these issues, Democrats in the legislature intend to exacerbate them by attacking parental rights, stripping worker Freedoms away, and cutting special deals that would benefit the few. Michiganders deserve a transparent government that works for them, not the special interests that fill the Democrats’ campaign coffers.”
