Governor Whitmer’s unscientific decision to import COVID patients into nursing homes and long-term care facilities was deadly. But a bombshell report from the Auditor General reveals that not only did the Whitmer admin fail to keep an accurate count of COVID deaths in these facilities, they didn’t even bother to visit in-person to make sure vulnerable seniors were safe!
Meanwhile, Jocelyn Benson signed off on a plan to withhold public driving records from the media – and then blamed her staff when there was backlash to the plan she approved.
We also learned that Gretchen Whitmer broke her promise to return 10 percent of her salary during the pandemic after just three months!

WHITMER ADMIN LEFT NURSING HOME RESIDENTS WITHOUT A VOICE
A new independent report found Gov. Whitmer failed to properly oversee nursing homes, did not comply with oversight law and failed to respond to complaints and concerns from struggling seniors during the pandemic.
Most states fought to keep the virus out of nursing homes, but Governor Whitmer deliberately ordered COVID patients into homes full of seniors, failed to provide legally required oversight, refused to accurately track how many seniors died from her policy, and even bought the silence of the Health Department director responsible for implementing her orders.
Whitmer banned family members – the most vocal patient advocates – from these facilities, and her ombudsmen, specially appointed advocates for patients and their last line of defense, decided to not do their legally required job. The families who lost loved ones to this deadly, unscientific policy deserve answers, and the Whitmer administration must be held accountable for this brazen act of negligence.
BENSON HIDES RECORDS – AND THEN BLAMES HER STAFF
Newly uncovered emails show Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson was behind the department’s scandalous decision to intentionally withhold public driving records from members of the media.
After pushback from reporters and public outrage, she suddenly reversed course. Now, she’s in full-scale damage control mode, throwing her staff under the bus. The only problem for Benson – her own email chain doesn’t lie. She’s playing politics with the public’s right-to-know… and now we all know.
LIAR, LIAR, PANTS ON FIRE
During the early days of the pandemic, Whitmer issued unconstitutional lockdown orders that killed jobs, depleted family savings and locked kids out of the classroom. To “lead by example,” the governor pledged to return 10 percent of her taxpayer-funded salary throughout the pandemic.
But Whitmer broke that promise. In fact, Whitmer wrote just three checks to the Treasury Department in 2020 totalling just $4,917, a far cry from the $15,190 she pledged to give back.
While Michigan families struggle with rising grocery costs, record gas prices and increased housing costs, Whitmer’s sacrifice was just more political lip service. As always with Gretchen Whitmer, it’s ‘sacrifice for thee, but not for me.’
