Lansing, MI – Following Governor Whitmer’s 7th State of the State Address, the Michigan Freedom Fund offers this statement:
“For many Michiganders, the state of Michigan today is expensive, lackluster, and discouraging – tonight’s address reaffirms why. Michigan taxpayers tuned in to tonight’s address looking for tangible plans to move our state forward, but were left with little else than empty words and poll-tested rhetoric,” said Zach Rudat, Advocacy Director for Michigan Freedom Fund. “On Whitmer’s watch our roads are crumbling, costs are increasing, students are neglected, and the next generation of Michiganders are fleeing our state for greener pastures elsewhere. Governor Whitmer faces a stark choice in her final years in office: work with Republicans to turn the tide in Michigan, or continue to march our state down the same failed path.”
