LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Freedom Fund welcomes Sarah Anderson as the organization’s new executive director today.

Anderson has been involved in Michigan politics and policy for nearly 20 years. Most recently she served as Executive Vice President of the Great Lakes Education Project. Prior to her time with GLEP, Anderson worked as the Senior Director at the Michigan Republican Party helping manage operations and external affairs. She previously served as Research Director for the Michigan House of Representatives and as Communications Director for Majority Strategies. A graduate of Hillsdale College, she and her family are residents of Grand Ledge.

“Everyday Michigan workers, moms and dads are demanding accountability from Lansing, and it’s never been more important that they get it,” said Anderson. “Those same voters deserve a voice at the Capitol and a seat at the table when politicians and bureaucrats argue over ways to limit their freedoms and spend their money. The Michigan Freedom Fund is here to make sure they are heard.”

After two trailblazing years helming the Freedom Fund, prior executive director Tori Sachs has chosen to step away to spend more time with her young children and communications business.

Freedom Fund Chairman Nate Bailey thanked Sachs for her years of selfless service to the state’s families and workers.

“We are grateful to Tori for using her exceptional talents and skills to fuel our efforts demanding accountability and transparency from state government. Tori expanded the organization’s advocacy endeavors and made the Freedom Fund a force to be reckoned with in the fight to grow our economy, protect our families, and ensure the success of our great state,” said Bailey.

Said Sachs: “Politicians have expanded their plan to work against our families and jobs, but the Freedom Fund team continues to fight for good government through policy initiatives for the people of Michigan. I’m proud of the work we have done to increase politician accountability, and I know this organization will never shy away from strongly promoting and demanding Freedom.

“Sarah Anderson is a strong leader and among the most respected voices in the state. Sarah’s leadership will be immediately impactful in this role, and I am excited to see all that this team will
accomplish for the future of this state.”
