Partisan Progressive Jenn Hill Campaigns One Way, Votes Another

Lansing, MI – In a new ad, State Representative Jenn Hill claims she will “always stand up to her party when they’re wrong.” With one quick look at her voting record, it’s clear that Hill’s been doing a lot of sitting in Lansing.

Of the 748 votes Hill has cast in Lansing, she has only voted against her party 8 times. She has been in lockstep with her party over 99% of the time, including (but certainly not limited to) her votes to:

“Representative Hill is being disingenuous at best, dishonest at worst with Yoopers,” said Zach Rudat, Advocacy Director of Michigan Freedom Fund. “Time and time again, Representative Hill comes down to Lansing and votes against the values and best interest of the Upper Peninsula. She can try to portray herself as a Joe Manchin, but her partisan progressive voting record is far more reminiscent of Bernie Sanders.”

This voting record has been a stark contrast from Hill’s predecessor Sara Cambensy, a Democrat who fought Whitmer’s COVID shutdowns and AG Nessel’s efforts to shut down line 5.
