RECORD INFLATION IS WHITMER’S BIGGEST TAX HIKE
The Biden-Whitmer world: “Every day, there is a senior making a choice between buying a prescription they need, paying their utility bill or putting a meal on the table.”
Under Governor Whitmer, Michigan is finally #1… on the list of states whose economies are failing. Michigan is still 140,000 jobs shy of pre-pandemic levels, and families are paying the price for record inflation in the Whitmer-Biden economy every time they buy groceries, fill up their gas tank, and pay their bills.
Rather than work to lower prices, Whitmer declared war on Line 5, which would add billions of dollars in additional fuel costs for families if she succeeds in shutting it down. Whitmer vetoed three bills that would have let people keep more of their money.
Record inflation is Whitmer’s biggest tax hike. Michiganders desperately need relief, but Gretchen Whitmer keeps standing in the way.
STATES’S LARGEST NEWSPAPER IS RUNNING PAID ADS FOR WHITMER’S CAMPAIGN
It’s bad enough that Governor Whitmer’s re-election campaign has been assisted by a complicit Secretary of State who willfully ignores campaign finance law when it’s convenient and an Attorney General who uses her office to punish her political opponents.
Now, the Detroit Free Press, the largest newspaper in the state, is spending money to promote Whitmer’s re-election campaign ads on social media. We will be looking to see if the Whitmer campaign reports this as an in-kind contribution in the upcoming campaign finance reports due soon.
No wonder trust in the media is at an all-time low.
MUST BE WHITMER IS FINALLY READING THE POLLS ON PARENTS AND EDUCATION
More than a few parents were scratching their heads after Governor Whitmer announced the creation of a “Michigan Parents’ Council” to “formalize” input from parents on her policies. For years, Whitmer has put her teachers’ union allies ahead of Michigan families.
After the Michigan Democrats said parents shouldn’t have a say in their kids’ education, Whitmer locked kids out of the classroom, and vetoed scholarships to help students recover, it’s clear the governor wasn’t interested in listening to parents.
Parents have every right to be upset, and it’s laughable to think that Michiganders will fall for this politically poll tested stunt.
